Using the most preferred method of hair removal, threading of the eyebrows ensures you get that perfect eyebrow shape every time. Eyebrows are combed, threaded, shaped and trimmed to remove any unwanted hairs and create your desired brow shape with minimal discomfort and long lasting results.
Other parts of the face such as top lip, chin, nose etc can be threaded also. Threading is also an excellent exfoliation method.
Eyebrow Tinting is a form of high quality semi-permanent hair-dye formulated specifically for use on the eyebrows. Eyebrow Tinting is a great option if you have noticed gray hairs in your brows, radically changed your hair colour or if you simply want to stay on trend with thicker and fuller looking brows which adds more definition to your face.
Eyebrow Tinting sessions generally follow the same procedure and during the treatment, you can expect the following. The brows are shaped using our threading technique. The tint is applied from the inside corners of the eyebrows to the tail which requires about 3-6mins to develop, after which it will be removed using a cotton pad. Rose water is then used to soothe the skin.
The tint is likely to stain the skin between the brow hairs initially, making them appear darker in the first day or so than they really are. Don’t panic if your brows look strange to you at first – if it’s your first time, the difference is bound to feel a little odd initially but you’ll soon get used to it and love your new fuller brows lasting around 3 weeks.
Eyelash Tint is a form of hair dye developed for specific use on the eyelashes. Eyelash Tinting produces a similar effect to mascara. It visibly darkens and thickens the appearance of eyelashes without smudging, clotting or rubbing off.
As each dyed lash reaches the end of its growth cycle it will fall out and cause the darker look of your lashes to gradually fade over time. Your eyelash tint will last around 1-3 weeks, depending on the growth cycle of your lashes.
A ‘lash lift’ but for your brows! This Brow Lamination treatment is designed to open up your eyes, lift your face and give you a fuller, bushier brow without Permanent Makeup required. This process uses a safe chemical perming solution to adjust your eyebrow hairs by straightening them to stay in the desired direction and can last for up to 8 weeks. It’s great for taming thick, unruly brows and encourages the hair to grow in the same direction.
There are two different solutions – the first softens eyebrow hair and prepares them for lamination while the second restructures the hair to keep them in place. The solutions are brushed through the brow and left on for 7-12 minutes (making sure they stay in the desired shape). As we specialise in natural looking results, it’s important to note that we are all trained to create a sleek lifted look as opposed to the standard dramatically lifted look.
Thick or thin brows, it doesn’t discriminate. Wake up every morning to perfect brows and flawless arches with this non-invasive treatment.
Microblading (sometimes referred to as Eyebrow Embroidery or HD/3D Brows) is a way of permanent make-up, where through manual process of inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin we create the desired fullness and design of the eyebrows.
A specialised Microblade penetrates upper layers of the skin 0.5mm deep and as a result; design will be waterproof, smudge-proof and completely realistic. Results are permanent but the pigment often fades completely after 2-3 years leaving a very small amount of pigment molecules under the skin. Our clients benefit from a refresher session every 6-12months. The procedure consists of two separate treatments. After the main treatment and brows have healed, a top-up session is recommended after 4-6 weeks to ensure maximum coverage, pigment colour and treated as our ‘perfecting session’.
– Microblading is less painful than tattooing as a hand held tool is used as opposed to a machine
– The strokes created with Microblading follow the exact direction of your natural hair growth so look very natural
– The pigment used with Microblading is thicker so prevents it from migrating under the skin
– Microblading fades so much so in the long run, you can change the shape of your brows easily
Strokes create a more natural look in that they mimic brow hairs whereas Ombre shading is more of a ‘brow powder’ look but will still achieve a very natural result. Sometimes when brows are sparse, but a natural look is desired, we will advise a COMBO technique which means mixing in some strokes as well as some shading for some depth.
The time it takes varies from person to person but on average, the whole procedure from start to finish takes 90minutes.
A patch test is not necessary and a waiver form can be signed. However, a patch test can be carried out at least 24hrs before treatment if you wish to have one. This is a simple case of testing the anaesthetic gel and pigment with a small stroke behind the ear.
Some may experience redness, swelling or scabbing which is all normal and pigment fades 30-50% after treatment. This is why the top-up session is recommended after brows have healed to maximise colour and fullness. After this however, brows are low maintenance and you can enjoy rubbing/touching them, swimming, exercise etc with just a recommended touch up anywhere between 6-12months.
An ‘in-depth’ consultation is not necessary as a consultation is always included in every appointment. However, if you have strong concerns or want really in-depth information such as the history of Microblading and Permanent Makeup or how the appointment will go exactly and would feel more comfortable speaking about the treatment, then yes please do book the Free consultation.
We choose the shape and size of your brows together. At the start, we will draw the design after our consultation and then we will have a look at the brows together to perfect this to your preference and measurements are taken to check symmetry, bone structure and position.
Cosmetics and medical tattooing have been proven to be safe. Many medical professionals, who perform their own tattooing, use the same pigments that we use. Here at Bella Lash Brow, we use high quality organic pigments from Tina Davies and we can send you documents with the complete details of pigment ingredients upon request. People have been placing colour in their skins for a very long time and through the years a generally accepted list of colour additives, which are expected to perform well, have proven to be safe.
Yes you can. Of course the less natural brow hair you have to work with, the harder it is to get really naturally full looking brows as pigment strokes in the form of Microblading for example against even just a few real brow hairs blend in really well. However, this treatment has really become popular due to the great difference it can make for clients with alopecia or those that have lost their hair from cancer treatments. As we are also trained in Ombre shading technique, mix of strokes and shading for those with less hair has become very popular. Working with a blank canvas is any brow tech’s dream and brows will still look beautiful. Especially if mixed in with some shading. Or depending on your desired look, a complete shading Ombre technique would work well too.
These Permanent Makeup procedures do have some flexibility in changing colour and shape to some extent. Colours will appear much darker immediately following the procedure but will often soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and always remember it does take time to adjust to a new look!
If you’ve had your brows done elsewhere, we may be able to refresh/ re-do them but this really depends on the state of your current work, pigments that were used and if you don’t like them, your reasons for not being satisfied with them. The best way to find out whether we are happy to work on your existing brows is to get in touch with some photos and an explanation as to what you do or don’t like about your current brows.
No you cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
